Mr Dunn to Complete Rat Race Run!
The Rookeries’ very own Headteacher, David Dunn, is set to take part in the Rat Race Ultramarathon on 13 June 2026 to raise money for The Rosie Jones Foundation.
This incredible challenge covers a whopping 70 miles, stretching from Carlisle to Gateshead along the route of Hadrian’s Wall. It is sure to test David’s endurance and determination.
The charity David has chosen to support reflects The Rookeries’ commitment to supporting young people living with Cerebral Palsy. Through its work, the foundation helps ensure that young people with cerebral palsy feel seen, heard, and valued.
“By supporting the Rosie Jones Foundation, I hope to contribute to a future where young people with Cerebral Palsy feel less isolated and better supported, especially during key life transitions.”
David Dunn
The fundraising target for The Rosie Jones Foundation will help provide 30 lived-experience counselling sessions, offering vital support to individuals and families affected by cerebral palsy.
From everyone at Pontefract Academies Trust, we wish David the very best of luck with this challenge!
